This is the premise that starts my thirteen book series of joke a day gag cartoons, of which the first three are now available for you to own and share with your dragon, cat, dog, or human white male (business suit wearing) loving friends!
Intended as an alternative coffee table book, the humor is family friendly and relatable to anyone who's ever lived in a shared house with pets (and possibly a dragon), while the art is bright and bold enough to simply be enjoyed by younger readers even though these are not intended to be children's books.
These three premium, matte cover finish, perfect bound paperback books with premium color interior and high quality (80#: Lulu Edition, 60#: Amazon Edition) white coated paper is the first collection of daily Resident Dragon joke cartoons by South Australian artist, David Arandle (i.e. me), depicting the every day life of a dragon living in a shared house in the suburbs.
Featuring the first 89 cartoons in the series, across the three books, each with additional captions, and some behind the scenes notes for your interest, as well as an additional background on how the cartoon series was developed (in book 1) and note about the author in the back of each, they are the kind of book you can read cover to cover in one sitting or just open to any page for a daily dose of Resident Dragon humor.
This initial 13 books series (when completed) presents all the daily cartoons in the order they were drawn. While each panel is a self contained joke, from book two onward, related themes and jokes are spread over five consecutive panels, linking ideas and creating mini story arcs.

While Red the Dragon is the initial focus, all the other characters are also given the spotlight with their own interests and story arcs taking center stage, with new supporting characters and residents introduced in later books, and plenty of call backs to earlier cartoons along the way.
Begin your collection now, and discover the rich, character driven world of the Resident Dragon. Sign up to the newsletter to be notified when the next book in the series becomes available (and yes there is thirteen! All the cartoons are sketched, they just need to be inked and coloured).

Purchase the Resident Dragon books from Lulu (recommended as this edition has slightly better quality interior pages, as well as more payment options like PayPal), or Amazon (still premium quality, Lulu just goes one level higher of premium on the interior pages).
