Movie Opinion: Let's Talk About Indiana Jones Movies (Probably Spoilers)

I love the character of Indiana Jones played by Harrison Ford. Recently I bought a DVD box set of all four Indiana Jones movies so I could finally have them in my film collection. With Indiana Jones 5 ramping up production, and set to be released in 2021 (after being pushed back from 2020) it seems like a good time to look back at the previous four films. I won't be reviewing each film. Chances are, if you're reading this, you've either seen them, or decided not to see them based upon the reviews when they were released. I just had some thoughts about each film for discussion.

Burra Skatepark, South Australia

Burra Skatepark. (Opposite Burra Art Gallery shown top right of the photo). Photo - TET On my last trip to Clare, South Australia, my partner and I also drove to the nearby town of Burra. Having been to Burra a few times over the years I remember there used to be a metal (I think) mini ramp opposite the Burra Art Gallery. I thought they must have replaced it with something so I decided to keep an eye out whilst my partner and I explored the town. The weather had not been that great all day, so we hadn't spent a whole lot of time walking around. It wasn't until the end of our visit that I happened to notice the new Burra skatepark was just a bit further up from where the mini ramp had been. It was easy to miss as you had to go down an embankment to get there, as well a fairly large tree obstructed the park if you were

Movie Review: Ant Man and the Wasp (2018) *Spoiler Free*

Marvel's Ant Man and the Wasp is a good movie. Like the first movie in the series it follows after a big Avengers 'event' movie and serves to again remind audiences that smaller stories (no pun intended) can be just as entertaining. It's no spoiler that the main plot of this film is Dr Hank Pym's (Michael Douglas) attempts to rescue is wife and former Wasp, Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer). Along the way a few other things from the past threaten to jeopardize the rescue and ultimately stop it from happening at all.

Peter McKinnon, and Learning to Love Creating Video Again

For much of my life I've been interested in filming video. As soon as I was able to afford it, I bought my first video camera - somewhere in the very early 1990's. The thing is, I don't have a passion for cameras, and I'm not driven to make any particular kind of film. I just feel, shooting video is something I want to do. I also have no interest in being a camera person for someone else's content. I know I have my own voice and things to share (if my blogs are anything to go by).

IGTV - Vertical Video Done Right by Instagram

I am not a huge fan of vertical videos because they are reduced down when played in a standard horizontal format player, so it can be hard to see the detail. Usually vertical videos have black blocks on either side. It feels a lot like your watching the video from a neighbouring dark room through a narrow door frame. Also you don't get as much width in your shots making it hard to frame all of the action. Instagram TV (IGTV) basically says 'so what' to all of the above. You can access IGTV through an icon menu item on the Instagram app (or I think you can install it separately). Access IGTV from Instagram via the IGTV icon. You'll be taken directly to the IGTV app where the first video in your stream will automatically start playing (usually with the sound off) after first seeing some old style TV static to give that authentic 'television' like experience.
